A Hundred Horizons is a breathtaking sweep of colour horizons that span across the central hallway of the UOB Penthouse.
Derived from a kaleidoscopic array of frozen pigments — acrylics, watercolours, inks and dyes — each portal of colour is filled with intersections of vibrant hues, which emulate age-old stratas of landscapes; and draws one’s eye across the atrium, unifying both the second and ground floor via a rich tapestry of shades.
The work structurally pays homage to the original glass facade of the Penthouse, yet injects a new vitality into it. Colours which radiate from the layered hues of an adjacent lightbox - Shangrila (2025), relate to the wall installation. This correlation of patterns and hues between lightbox and glass wall, creates a visual dialogue between both. Here, the lightbox acts like a prism, through which white light disperses into a brilliant spectrum of colour across the hallway.
