The exhibition brings together major historical works from the Toms collection alongside contemporary creations by Goshka Macuga and Grayson Perry. It explores how tapestry has long been a medium of power and a surface on which societies have rehearsed their fears, ambitions and beliefs. From medieval times to the present day, it provides a space for dialogue at the crossroads of collective aspirations, historical narratives, and contemporary issues.
