Laura Gannon

Laura Gannon was born 1972 in Galway, Ireland and lives and works in London and Ireland. Gannon’s work oscillates between drawing, sculpture, painting and film. Recent works include abstract drawings in metallic ink on linen, where the material is folded, bent, and wrinkled to reveal its corporeality and raw physicality. These sculptural drawings find a parallel in her films, which explore temporality, light, space, and the act of looking through intimate portraits of distinctive architectural buildings.
